European Tour

This is just a quick note for those who follow my blog.
I have had a busy start to 2011 and have had several shoots, all of which have been great fun! I'm afraid I have no new photos to share at the moment, because I haven't received them back yet, but I will be sure to keep this blog up to date as and when I receive new images.

Meanwhile, in my other life as a singer, there have also been exciting developments (ironic really, as I had resigned myself to taking some time off show-business to focus on my modelling). I have been offered a lead role, touring Europe, and I leave to fly to Germany in the morning! This is a fantastic opportunity, too good for me to pass up. The first leg of the tour lasts until the end of March, and I'm not entirely sure of my schedule after that. I don't plan on giving up modelling, not by any means! But I will obviously be unavailable in the UK for at least a couple of months, and will update as soon as I know more about my plans after that.

I will mostly be touring Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy (other countries are also a possibility, but unconfirmed as yet). I would love to fit in some modelling whilst I am on tour, so if you happen to be a photographer in any of the countries mentioned reading this, please get in touch and I will let you know my tour schedule.

Many thanks for the support of those who read this and keep in touch. Apologies to those who had made enquiries over the next couple of months. Welcome to my world! I will keep in touch, and hope that we can arrange something later in the year.

Streets of London

While most people were sleeping off their Christmas pudding, on the 27th of December I was wandering the streets of London with KRT Photographic. Keith wanted to capture the sights of London between the hours of midnight and 4am, when there's no one around to clutter it up. Despite the fact I lived in London for years, I don't think I'd ever explored this late at night before, just enjoying the sights and sounds. It's a very different city in the wee small hours, and despite rather dismal weather (it was cold and rainy) I rather like these atmospheric shots, showing some well known landmarks as you may never have seen them before (deserted!)

Happy New Year!

Well, this will be my last blog update of 2010! It features photos taken yesterday from my second shoot with the ever wonderful Richard Lund. Working with Richard is an absolute pleasure. He's conveniently local, and having worked with him before I had a few ideas this time around for some accessories to take along to create some more fashion nudes. I love collecting jewellery and accessories with a view to shooting it, and Richard didn't disappoint. I really love these photos.

I've also spent today shooting, and there are a few remaining photos to come from shoots I've done since Christmas, but this pretty much wraps up 2010. As I've said before, it has been a great year for my modelling work, and I am excited about continuing with my modelling in 2011 and creating exciting new photos. Thank you to all the wonderful photographers I have worked with throughout the year, and all the models I have communicated with, in person or online. There are some superb models out there, and I like to think that we support each other in our own way when we can, through virtual means or real ones.
For next year, I have some ideas for collaborations featuring other models, as well as a list of photographers I've always wanted to work with. I would also like to socialise more! Modelling can be a lonely business, in that as a model, you rarely meet your colleagues. I would love to meet more creatives through work, but also on a social basis, just to spend time with like-minded people! Hopefully next year will bring more merriment, as well as the very serious matter of creating art. I'm going to travel more in 2011, so with any luck, this will mean working with photographers I've yet to collaborate with.

I will be taking bookings further in advance, as of now onwards. In the past, I've tended to book shoots last minute because I didn't know what's around the corner. I've also tended to publicise my location and travel at the last minute, too.
I will now be taking bookings for the next year, anywhere in the UK (and further afield, if there are photographers abroad who would like to work with me - I'm always happy to travel!). If you are a photographer, and you are reading this thinking that you would like to work with me, please email me expressing your interest. Let me know some potential dates (or a time-scale) and your location, and let's make some plans! From now on, I will be working around you, rather than waiting until I'm travelling to an area and keeping you informed, tell me when you would like me to travel to you, and I will do so. I'll then notify other photographers nearby that I'll be around.

Areas I'm planning to travel to (in no particular order) in 2011 include:

Gloucestershire,
Wiltshire,
Scotland (all areas),
Somerset,
Cumbria,
Northumberland.

Hertfordshire, London, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Midlands are all fairly convenient to one of my two bases (Chesterfield or St Albans) and I can work from there any time.
If your area isn't on the list, please let me know, and I'll come to you! If your area is on the list, let me know when you'd like me to visit! If I'm on tour in your area, I'll be offering discounts for TFA (Time For Accommodation).
I'm offering home shoots from my base in Chesterfield, and I also know several locations nearby, if you would like to travel to me in Derbyshire. My flat in St Albans is not suitable for home shoots but is very convenient for several studios in London.
So, please do get in touch. I'm excited about what the future holds, and I hope to hear from you soon.

And, most importantly,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A Year In The Life...

As 2010 draws to a close, it strikes me that this blog now represents a year in the life of ERosanne, depicted in photos.

Taken at Barlow Studios by Andrew Scott

As a model, it has been a wonderful year. On a personal level (without going into details), it has been full of challenges, and there have been times when it has been difficult to remain positive. However, I have drawn solace from some wonderfully creative shoots, from looking back over the work I have produced over the past twelve months, and from writing this blog - which I have found therapeutic. I turned 30 almost exactly a year ago, and had all the usual doubts about ageing that a significant birthday always brings about. I almost considered quitting modelling, but I am relieved that I didn't as this year it has proved more rewarding than ever. I would even go so far as to say that I have produced some of my best work yet in the new decade.
Some of my favourite images from 2010 are represented in the slideshow featured on this blog (a varied selection of images that lend themselves to thumbnails).

I am immensely proud of all the shoots I've done, extremely grateful to the wonderful photographers who have booked me and collaborated with me, and I have made some friendships along the way - both virtual friends and real ones.

I have made some decisions regarding my career next year, and I will be taking modelling bookings further in advance, travelling more in 2011, and (with any luck) focussing more on furthering my modelling career. I also have some exciting ideas for collaborations and artistic ventures which I look forward to sharing with like-minded creatives in the near future... (watch this space).

These photos are a few extras from shoots throughout the year that I have yet to upload. I've also had a busy few days shooting, and may well have more to upload before the year is out.

I still have another shoot planned tomorrow, New Year's Eve no less. So the year isn't over yet, in terms of modelling work. I'm looking forward to some very exciting shoots planned for 2011, and hopefully, another creative year of blog updates for ERosanne.

Merry Christmas To All

Well, I don't know about you, but I love Christmas! I've always been a big kid when it comes to this time of year. I get all nostalgic about getting the Christmas decorations out, and listening to my favourite festive songs (sniff).

It's a great shame that my pantomime was cancelled, but even so, I've been trying to make the most out of the situation. We've had some very festive weather this year, and best of all, I've got an early Christmas present on the shape of the little dog in these photos!

As a child, I grew up surrounded by dogs and other creatures, and I've always been an 'animal person.' My lovely dachshund died six years ago now, and there has been a hole in my life ever since.

I began the search for a dog around a month ago, but had to take into account that there is already a cat and three chinchillas in the household, so it had to be a 'furry friendly dog.' I found this lovely little chap via The Little Dog Rescue, who do wonderful work fostering dogs until they find their 'forever home.' Gyp (the name he came with) arrived home this week after a slight delay in adopting him due to the weather. From the moment he arrived, it was as if he'd lived here all his life, and he seems very happy to be 'home.'
Dave A Davies and I took him for a walk in the Peak District this afternoon armed with Dave's camera. He absolutely loved it, and was far more adept on his four legs than we were on our two! Despite it being around -6 degrees C (at best), I still couldn't resist a quick shoot with my new model, with the Peak District as a snowy backdrop. Hopefully next year, these might be my Christmas cards!

You can also view my own special Christmas message (from a couple of years ago), here.

And if all that isn't festive enough for you, you can view my Christmas themed photos from previous years here (if you are a deviantArt member).

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
And remember, a dog is for life, not just for Christmas.
