Off to Europe... Take Two!

Well, I'm off to Europe in the morning... touch wood. Hopefully there will be no dramas or plane grounding incidents this time around.

I'll be back on the 27th of March and will be modelling again after that, so drop me a line in the meantime if you'd like to book something. I may not respond to emails immediately but I will definitely get back to you.

I leave you with this Hepburn inspired photo from a very recent shoot with Richard Lund. We came up with a novel way of hiding my scars... wearing clothes!

Just to update that I made it safely to Europe, without grounding any planes this time around!

Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird - Wallace Stevens

Among twenty snowy mountains,
The only moving thing
Was the eye of the blackbird.

I was of three minds,
Like a tree
In which there are three blackbirds.

The blackbird whirled in the autumn winds.
It was a small part of the pantomime.

IV
A man and a woman
Are one.
A man and a woman and a blackbird

I do not know which to prefer,
The beauty of inflections
Or the beauty of innuendoes,

Or just after.

Icicles filled the long window
With barbaric glass.
The shadow of the blackbird
Crossed it, to and fro.
The mood

An indecipherable cause.

Walks around the feet
Of the women about you?

I know noble accents

Blue, like the skies beyond,

merging into a
new mailbox.

Vacant space,
a mailbox stands alone
on barren land.

Darkest night,
a moonbeam reflects
from the mailbox.

A boat,
faring turbulent seas
to distant mailboxes.

A broken heart,
delivered to
an empty mailbox.

Flowers grow,
life springs from
an open mailbox.

But flowers die
and crumble from
a closed mailbox.

The road
is clearly visible
from a prison mailbox.

A river of dreams,
cascading from
a leaking mailbox.

Cobwebs creep,
demon swarming
over a peeling mailbox.

Sun sets behind
the silhouette
of a leaning mailbox.

Lightning strikes,
rain drips from
a broken mailbox.

A creature stirs,
a child is kicking
an old, old mailbox.

Wallace Stevens' poem "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird" contains thirteen haiku like verses, this poem follows the same format.)

If you had lived...

They say that some things are just not meant to be,
But nevertheless, you were special to me.
'You' were my hopes, and my future plans,
I imagined my world in your tiny hands.

In my thoughts, I had held you,
Pictured who you might be,
And I felt that I knew you,
Though you never knew me.

For weeks, you provided my secret smile,
And I'm proud that I carried you 'round, for a while.
I'd like to believe you are safe, up above,
But if you had lived - you would have been loved.
