And now for something a little different...

I shot with Chris Rout again recently, for the first time in a few years. Chris is mostly a commercial photographer, whose images always have a 'fresh, clean' look about them. We completed several sets on the day, including Chris' commercial/lifestyle images, and then we moved onto 'something a little different.' I've been trying to step outside of the box a bit more this year, in order to extend my marketability... well, many of these are a little out of the ordinary compared to the images you may be used to seeing of me. Here goes!...

Umm... Weird fashion...

I initially uploaded photos from all the sets Chris and I did on the day. Somehow, many of the fashion shots and commercial images just didn't look right on this blog, amongst so much art nude (which is the focus of my profile here). So, you can find other images from this shoot on my main portfolio, and this is just a taster. (Sometimes, less is more).

I love the 2nd one - it gives a feel of a need for freedom. The 3rd one is also great. I love your curves in that whispy light, and the anonymity makes it more expressive imo. Super work both! :)

Blue, like the skies beyond,

merging into a
new mailbox.

Vacant space,
a mailbox stands alone
on barren land.

Darkest night,
a moonbeam reflects
from the mailbox.

A boat,
faring turbulent seas
to distant mailboxes.

A broken heart,
delivered to
an empty mailbox.

Flowers grow,
life springs from
an open mailbox.

But flowers die
and crumble from
a closed mailbox.

The road
is clearly visible
from a prison mailbox.

A river of dreams,
cascading from
a leaking mailbox.

Cobwebs creep,
demon swarming
over a peeling mailbox.

Sun sets behind
the silhouette
of a leaning mailbox.

Lightning strikes,
rain drips from
a broken mailbox.

A creature stirs,
a child is kicking
an old, old mailbox.

If you had lived...

They say that some things are just not meant to be,
But nevertheless, you were special to me.
'You' were my hopes, and my future plans,
I imagined my world in your tiny hands.

In my thoughts, I had held you,
Pictured who you might be,
And I felt that I knew you,
Though you never knew me.

For weeks, you provided my secret smile,
And I'm proud that I carried you 'round, for a while.
I'd like to believe you are safe, up above,
But if you had lived - you would have been loved.
